Sriram Chandra Bhanj Medical College and Hospital

While the original founding of Sriram Chandra Bhanj Medical College and Hospital (S.C.B. Hospital) is unclear, it was provincialised in 1925 and transferred to the Government of India. It currently has 1,107 beds and provides a variety of super-specialty services to its patients, as well as robust medical education and curricula to students. We currently have one pediatric oncology project at this site.

JDF began the pediatric oncology project at S.C.B. Hospital in 2012, with the support of local champion, Dr. Rabindra Kumar Jena. Dr. Jena is Professor and Head of the Department of Clinical Hematology and is specially trained in bone marrow transplantation. We currently support one nurse, one data manager, and one social worker at this site.
