The hand paddled tricycle can be prescribed to those, who cannot ambulate with any other Prosthetic and Orthotic devices and aids like Crutches, sticks or walkers. Literally, its for those who use to crawl. They have 100% both lower limb involvement (disability), but should have good upper limb strength to pedal it (Push the pedal, navigate and brake it). They should also have a good vision, mental state and hand-eye coordination. Additionally, JDF approval shall be based on review of their handicapped certificate and socio-economic comments by the NGO officials justifying the purpose and need of a Tricycle, as we want this should help them earn their livelihood, besides Mobility.
