Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust was founded by Mr. Mahendra Mehta to combat the cycle of poverty in India as well as its most pressing determinants and byproducts. RNCT works not only in India, but across the world in countries facing various public health and child devleopment issues as a result of poverty, including Sudan,Kenya, Afghanistan, and Burundi. One of their major focus areas is health and mobility, where the JDF works. RNCT is able to work with the physically challenged and provide them with the tools they need to live an independent and prosperous life. Most recently, RNCT was the recipient of a Google investment for their breakthrough Ratna Nidhi Leg, derived from the Jaipur Foot (BMVSS). The new process for the Ratna Nidhi Leg will involved 3D scanning technologies to provide affordable artificial limbs to the physically challenged. JDF currently has an amputee assistance project at this site.
