Gandhi Medical College was established initially in 1851 as an infirmary and grew from that to a containment hospital to King Edward's Memorial Hospital, until it became known as Gandhi Medical College in 1954. It currently has a bed strength of 1200 and is viewed as a premier teaching institution. Gandhi Medical College offers inpatient, outpatients, and emergency services, as well as a blood bank on site. We currently support one maternal health project at this site.
