Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital
Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital (LTMGH) was established in 1964. It originated from a small, 50 bedded hospital within a military hospitals and now contains over 1000 beds with plans for future growth. Often referred to as Sion Hospital, it sees over 60,000 patients a year and offers a variety of specialty services. Sion Hospital was also the first trauma service center in India as well as the first hospital to offer milk banks, skin banks, and emergency coronary stenting. JDF currently supports one maternal health project at this site.

JDF's maternal health project at Sion Hospital began in 2012. The project's local champion is Dr. Rahul Mayekar, Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. We currently support two data managers cum counselors and three partograph data managers.
