Sahayta Charitable Welfare Society, also known as Sahayta Cancer Sahyog, strives to provide complete care to adults and children affected by cancer. The Society provides a variety of services covering everything from education and recreation to finances and counseling.
Project Overview
Jiv Daya and Sahayta were previously acquainted through their mutual relationship with PGIMER. After two representatives from Sahayta attended the 3rd annual IPOI meeting, the two organizations began discussing a partnership. Jiv Daya Foundation is providing a fundraiser to Sahayta to develop an adopt-a-child program for the pediatric oncology unit at PGIMER. Through this program, both parties hope to achieve a lower abandonment rate at the center through sponsorship of children’s treatment costs.
Local Champs
Ms. Aaradhna Mittal is the head of the Children Cancer Clinic side of Sahayta. She works with PGIMER to provide support to their child patients and has been the primary liaison between Sahayta and JDF.
