Site Overview
LTMGH is a 1,400-bed public tertiary care hospital in Mumbai. Run by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, it began as a military hospital and has since grown into a modern teaching hospital with a tradition of excellence in service. Their Pediatric Hematology Oncology Division was established in 1986, and consists of 18 beds, 7 of which are for inpatients.

Project Overview
The Foundation’s collaboration with LTMGH was initiated in August 2008. Salary support is provided for four nurses, a secretary/data manager, and a field worker. As one of our first collaborations, the impact that the partnership has had on the LTMG pediatric oncology division is already evident. Efficacy in blood collection, infection control, data entry and regular follow up are all evidences of LTMGH’s improved ability to provide care. Jiv Daya Foundation also provides salary support for a counselor at LTMGH through CanKids...KidsCan, who provides psychosocial counseling and assists in procuring financial support for patients and their families.
