CanKids…KidsCan is a not-for-profit support group for children with cancer and their families. A unit of the Indian Cancer Society, CanKids strives to ensure the best possible treatment and care, socioeconomic support, emotional and psychological support, effective reintegration into society during and after treatment, and continuity of care through survivorship, relapse, palliation, or loss. CanKids operates a National Outreach Program across the country, with units at various cancer centers.

Project Overview
Jiv Daya Foundation first partnered with CanKids in April 2009 to further the impact of the National Outreach Program, which aims at expanding their reach from Mumbai outwards to locations including Lucknow, Rohtak, Patna, and Delhi. JDF supports a National Outreach Team as well as numerous social workers at various institutions across India. In addition, Jiv Daya Foundation’s supported social workers are generally hired, trained and monitored through CanKids, due to the extremely effective nature of the organization’s social worker training program.
