Site Overview
Located in New Delhi, AIIMS offers teaching programs at both graduate and post-graduate levels, including a College of Nursing, which turns out some of the finest medical practitioners in India. The Institute sets the pace for medical research in India, with over 600 annual publications. The Rotary Cancer Hospital is a 7-floor, 200-bed center with the capabilities to perform modern, high-quality procedures. It constitutes one of the largest centers for pediatric cancers in India, seeing nearly 1000 new cases every year.
Project Overview
Jiv Daya Foundation and AIIMS have been in partnership since August of 2008. The foundation provides salary support for two senior research officers, a data manager, and a nurse, in addition to supplying a new laptop computer and internet access for prospective data management of all pediatric oncology patients. The JDF staff members provide crucial bandwidth to a hospital that sees over 600 new patients a year from all across India.

Dr. Bakhshi is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Oncology at Dr. B.R.A. Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital, AIIMS in New Delhi. He received his M.D. in Pediatrics from AIIMS, and his M.B.B.S. from JIPMER, Pondicherry.
