DAV College Trust and Management Society was established in 1886. Today it has the distinction of being the largest Non-Governmental Organization in the field of education in India. Besides education, DAV has a strong commitment to social reforms and social welfare of Indian citizens. The organization operates a sizeable rehabilitation program.
Project Overview
DAV College began providing artificial limbs and mobility aids to the physically challenged in 2001 through its campuses at Jalandhar and Yamunanagar. JDF is providing DAV with salary support for a social worker, a P&O technician, and a P&O engineer in order to allow the Yamunanagar center to open a dedicated Artificial Limb Centre.
